Paris

On the way to South Africa, we had a twelve-hour vacation in Paris in June, 2006.

(Back to the South African tour page.)

Pierre & Hannelore picked us up at the airport and brought us into Paris for short visit. By the time we got back on the airplane for Johannesburg, we felt like we had already had a vacation!

Coming in to their neighborhood, we get one of the essential views of Paris!

Another important perspective on Paris is a neighborhood cheese shop.

From the Couchouron apartment, we can see the Eiffel Tower!

A boat tour on the Seine fills the afternoon.

After Pierre & I have enjoyed the first part of our tour, we discover that Hannelore & Carol are not on the boat with us!

We are able to correct the situation.

Who knew we would find ourselves at the City Lights Bookshop?

From the river, we can see the top of the Eiffel Tower on the left.

Back to the neighborhood for a quick bite of dinner before returning to Charles De Gaulle for our next flight.

Our last view of the Arc.
